We are delighted to able to hold our annual Christmas get-together in person at Lydiard House this year. We will be celebrating with festive cheer, bubbly, mince pies and music as well as catching up on the latest news and unveiling a new oil painting of Lydiard Park.
Based on historic evidence, the painting which has been commissioned by the Friends of Lydiard Park, shows the house and gardens in 1700 – Lydiard as you’ve never seen it! We will also be displaying some fascinating Lydiard objects and photographs that have generously been donated to the Friends during the year.
Our pop-up shop will be carrying our exclusive Lydiard Christmas cards and books including, hot off the press, Elizabeth St.John’s A Lydiard Christmas – a war-time story of hope and love. We will also be holding a tempting raffle with the proceeds going towards conservation cleaning of the medieval glass in St. Mary’s Church.
