Frances Bevan’s latest book, ‘Ladies of Lydiard’ is a highly readable celebration of and sometimes a commiseration with the ladies who called Lydiard Park their home. She will be describing the lives of some of her favourite characters, from Anne Leighton, the young wife of Sir John St. John 1st Baronet when the St. John fortunes were flying high to Bessie Howard, the gamekeeper’s granddaughter who married a lord.
‘Ladies of Lydiard’ by Frances Bevan is published by Hobnob Press and Frances will be happy to sign copies purchased on the day.
