The St. Mary’s Church £1million conservation project has officially come to a close.

The end of three years of painstaking conservation works was marked by a national symposium in partnership with ICON (Institute of Conservation) held at Lydiard Park on 7th April, attended by forty delegates from across the heritage and conservation sectors.

Now, a new short film reveals this complex project for the benefit of anyone interested in finding out more about conservation. It is narrated by the project’s lead conservator, Jane Rutherfoord and includes discussion about the challenges presented by a building with so many layers of history and paint!
